Grunseth
Personal background coming soon — where he grew up, life before monster trucks, family, and what first got him hooked on the sport.
The origin story — first show attended, early involvement on crews, the path that led him to buying his own truck.
In 2024, Shane purchased the truck then known as Metal Monster out of Alien Motor Speedway in Roswell, New Mexico, where it had been sitting unused for years. With help from Steven Thompson, he got it track-ready and returned it to competition the same year — the latest chapter in one of the longest-running chassis in the sport.
In 2025, a shock tower failure sent the truck to Pennsylvania for a month-long rebuild. Fabricator Kevin Ricco overhauled the entire rear half of the chassis — giving Metal Monster a modernized platform under its classic bones, ready for a full 2026 campaign.
Metal Monster's chassis carries a lineage few trucks on any circuit can match — 30 years of competition history under different names, owners, and identities, all on the same original frame.

In March 2025, Shane posted a notable result — defeating Cliff Vowell's Virginia Giant in evening competition before a mechanical issue ended their night early.
For 2026, Shane joins the inaugural Monster Truck Roundup Mid-Atlantic Tour, opening April 18–19 at Georgetown Speedway in Delaware alongside Shockwave, Be Aware, Backdraft, Muddy Girl, and Bad News Travels Fast.
