About Jessica
Jessica Braukmann-Millard was born on October 13, 1993, into a family where monster trucks weren't just a hobby — they were a way of life. The daughter of Bill Braukmann Sr. and sister of Billy Braukmann Jr., she grew up watching her father drive Shockwave across the Northeast before stepping behind the wheel of her own machine in 2016.
Together with her brother Billy, she is half of what the sport recognizes as the first brother-and-sister monster truck racing team — a milestone that became official when the two-truck program launched in summer 2022. Jessica drives Be Aware. Billy drives Shockwave. Side by side, they carry forward what their father built.

2016
Be Aware Debuts
Bill Sr. transitions out of the driver's seat and Jessica steps in to drive Be Aware — the sister truck to Shockwave — as part of the family's two-truck expansion. Billy Jr. simultaneously takes over Shockwave.
2020
Marries Ted Millard
Jessica marries Ted Millard, who would later step in to drive Be Aware during her maternity leaves — keeping the truck on the road year-round.
Summer 2022
First Brother-Sister Team
Jessica and Billy officially debut as a two-truck program — Shockwave and Be Aware competing together. Recognized as the first brother-and-sister monster truck racing team in the sport.
2023
Maternity Leave — Ted Drives
Jessica steps back for maternity leave. Husband Ted Millard drives Be Aware to keep the truck competing and the family team intact.
2024
Returns to Be Aware
Jessica returns to the driver's seat following maternity leave.
2026
MTR Mid-Atlantic Tour
Returns for the inaugural Monster Truck Roundup Mid-Atlantic Tour alongside her brother Billy, opening April 18–19 at Georgetown Speedway.

Jessica's brother and the other half of the sport's first brother-sister racing team. Simultaneously drives Shockwave and runs MTR as CEO — the engine behind the whole operation.
